Celeste interned at the Museum last summer just before her trip to Europe.
"From the mid-1800s through the early 1900s, many immigrants arrived in Texas from the Czech lands of Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia. They arrived from towns like Cermna, Brno, Vsetin, and Frenstat. One of the counties that the immigrants settled in was Milam County. This presentation will focus on Milam County communities with significant Texas Czech populations, families, and social organizations," said Banda.
